Bølgetrappen is a project of redesigning the enormous staircase of the Dokk1 building in Aarhus. The design consists of LED's that forms waves on the staircase. These waves mimic the waves on the piece of ocean that encloses the building by reacting to the data of the wind. When walking on the staircase, a sound of splashing water can be heard for each step, and the waves light up more intensely. The design wishes to amplify the harbor feeling, which through our observation has been a big inspiration for the architecture of Dokk1, and also make the staircase more inviting by making it interesting and fun to walk on.

A big part of the design case was also to make a persona and scenario, which is seen in the comicstrip-like pictures below.
