Floorix is a prototype for an interactive floor installation built using the fascilities of CAVI (Centre for Advanced Visualisation and Interaction). The prototype uses infrared cameras to track the user's position, and the output, which is built in Unity, is then projected onto the floor.

For the interactive floor we have designed three different scenes with different visual elements to be projected. Some scenes are more playful while others are more aesthetically pleasing. The possibilities of interaction are the same for all scenes – the users’ position on the floor dictates the movement of a certain object in the scene, this object can in turn interact with other elements in the scene.
